OUR FOUNDER BOB ADAMO
TBI was founded in 1992 by Bob Adamo. With a vision to establish a construction firm that prioritizes quality, safety, and client satisfaction, Bob embarked on a journey that would soon become a legacy.
After spending over a decade working with Silicon Valley high-tech companies in facilities management, Bob founded Technical Builders. His vision was to develop a construction firm to supersede all others in serving the construction needs of emerging and established technology companies in the Bay Area.
From the beginning Technical Builders wasn’t just a name, it had meaning to Bob.“Technical” because he believed in precision and doing things the right way, and “Builders” because that’s who we are — not just of structures, but of people, teams, careers, and occasionally, character.
Bob was obsessed with making us better. Better professionals, better teammates, better humans. He didn’t just believe in growth, he lived it. He was fiercely organized yet never felt rigid. He left space for people to grow, to stumble, and to come back stronger.
We will miss his energy, positivity, and passion. We will carry him forward on every project we land, every schedule we beat, and every time we choose to challenge each other with care and raise the bar just a little higher.
